As a middle aged male, navigating a number of challenges in my life, I didn't really know where to begin when I was trying to address the aspects of my life that were causing me relationship and development problems. There is definitely a perceived stigma attached to men looking to engage in therapy, and I don't mind saying in my case, that stigma came from unhealthy relationships and not being able to understand some basic things about myself. Chris genuinely changed my outlook on life. You could say he has actually changed my life. His approach to therapy made it extremely easy to engage. It felt natural, a safe environment in which we could explore all aspects of my life, past and present, and crucially for me, I felt at ease discussing my emotions with someone, no matter how personal they were. Chris has helped me not only better understand what healthy relationships in life look like, but he has helped me greatly to challenge myself to always make sure I consider every dimension of a problem or situation. It has made me significantly more mindful, and I know that in great part, due to Chris, my life is significantly more complete and rich. From my experience, I am fortunate to have met Chris. My sessions with him are a point in my week that I always look forward to, and it is something I wish I had done sooner. Having a healthy relationship with mental health as a man is so important, and Chris has enabled me to embrace that. Thank you Chris.

I cannot recommend Chris at Therapist Ltd highly enough. I have hugely benefited from long term weekly therapy sessions and as a result have completely recovered from my generalised anxiety disorder (which I had suffered with for most of my adult life). This constant state of anxiety had also resulted in obsessive compulsive behaviour and a feeling of total lack of control over my life along with poor appetite, insomnia, and a number of other physiological symptoms to the extent that I felt unwell most of the time. I was deeply unhappy and struggled to function effectively at work, in my home life, and with family/other relationships. I feel like a completely different person now and am hugely grateful for the major transition I have achieved and am now on a constant positively evolving path, which provides me with greater self-awareness, understanding of others' behaviour and the dynamics of various relationships. I am also now able to be assertive and state clear boundaries with others. I no longer suffer from crippling anxiety and feel very free as a result - living my life to the utmost every day yet always happy to keep learning more. I would add that it is extremely important to be pro-active during the therapeutic process - there is no "magic wand" but the therapist's total support, compassion, empathy, understanding and major insights are supremely helpful - I sincerely doubt that I could have ever got to where I am today without Chris.
