Kara is both professional and friendly and made me feel at ease from our first session together. I visited Kara for two months as I went through some trauma nearly six years ago and was unable to process this myself and was looking for someone trained in EMDR therapy which Kara is. After a very difficult two months of EMDR sessions, I can now say I have processed my trauma and am able to look to the future and go about my daily routine without being overwhelmed with emotion. Thank you to Kara as without her I would not be in the place I am now.

Kara has been supporting me over the past year since the sudden and traumatic loss of my baby boy. Initially she supported me with EMDR to help me to process the trauma of the day I lost him, reducing the number of flashbacks I experience significantly. She has since helped me to work through other difficult emotions such as anger and has supported me in improving my sense of self-worth. Thank you Kara for everything you have done for me and for others who are facing challenging life experiences.

After three years of intense medical treatment for a chronic illness which doesn’t have a cure, I was suffering from complex PTSD and struggling to come to terms with my illness and the severe impact this had on my life. Kara used EMDR therapy to help me process the various traumatic events. She gained my trust very quickly, made me feel comfortable and supported me through the whole process. Kara is passionate about the work she does and that came across during our treatment sessions. I would highly recommend her.

Kara has offered invaluable support after the loss of our baby girl when I didn't get on with other counsellors. She also offers monthly support groups which brings grieving parents together to share in a safe space...this has been another great support for me.

Kara helped me though a difficult time following the birth of my stillborn daughter. I suffer with depression, anxiety, OCD some level of PTSD, which she was able to explore and help me to manage. Kara has a calm, empathetic way about her that encouraged me to open up and explore my inner journey and mind. She showed me a series of practical proven techniques that are underpinned by her exceptional knowledge of psychology.

I really enjoyed Kara’s workshop. She packed so much information and practical ideas into the space of an hour. It was great to be sent the slides by email afterwards as well to look at the information in my own time. Kara is so knowledgeable and has a great way of getting the information across. Highly recommended (Kath)
